UBA - Meeting on Family Business Mediation

On January 22, 2020, we held a meeting with members of the UBA Committee on Family, Inheritance and Civil Law and talked about mediation in family business disputes.

We told the participants about the mediation process, its basic principles and the difference from other methods of resolving disputes. Our partners also discussed the differences between the role of a lawyer in mediation and the role of a mediator.

Participants were also interested to leran about a range of issues that can be addressed in mediation, including not only the family business itself, but also the  issues of family relationship, children and others.

We have expressed our view that mediation is the best way to resolve these types of conflict, as it helps to restore trust and relationships and thus preserve the strength, assets and values ​​of the family and the company.
