The mere existence of corporate governance disputes does not always create a problem for the company, but only when the conflicte are poorly handled or escalated.
According to a study conducted by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Center for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR, UK) among managers, ❗️29.6% of respondents had experience of conflicts that questioned the survival of the organization, and ️67.2% reported that they faced issues that had not been resolved as a result of the dispute.
The respondents noted the following negative impact of conflicts on the company and its people:
👉 49.3% - Significant loss of working time of the parties involved
👉 42.8% - Decrease in trust between members of management bodies
👉 32.4% - Negative impact on relationships within the organization
👉 29.5% - Extra expenses for the company
👉 26.8% - Long-term negative impact on business profitability
👉 23.7% - Negative impact on the company's reputation
